Description:
ASAFOETIDA is originated from the Mediterranean region particularly in Iran and Afghanistan. In India, it is grown in Kashmir and in some parts of Punjab. It has been derived from the Feaula Asafoetida which is a small plant that has been grown in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Asafoetida is the dried latex (oleoresin) exuded from the root (rhizome) of several species of Ferula.
The Hing oil is derived by steam distillation of the asafoetida (oleoresin) Asafoetida contains about 12 to18% volatile oil. The volatile oil component is rich in various organosulfide compounds, such as 2-butyl-propenyl-disulfide, diallyl sulfide, diallyl disulfide and dimethyl trisulfide.

Major Constituents:
Epi-α-cadinol, germacrene, 5-epi-7-epi-α-eudesmol and -cadinene, propenyl secbutyl disulfide, and α-gurjunene.
Application:
~ Hing essential oil is very useful in curing digestive problems, ulcer pain, and cramps (antispasmodic), constipation, flatulence, cough, cold, Scavenges the free radicals, asthma, and respiratory problems.
