Description:
Natural Occurrence in Australia. The Agonis family is endemic to Western Australia. Both the botanical names of Agonis fragrans and Taxandria fragrans are used to denote Fragonia Essential oil.

Plant parts typically used for the distillation of essential oil are leaves twigs and branches. The essential oil yield is 0.5% –1.6%. A common method of extraction is the steam distillation of Twigs, Branches, and Leaves.

Its smell is somewhat similar to eucalyptus essential oil due to its high 1,8-Cineole content with an underlying floral, citrus, slightly woody note.

Therapeutically, it is an anti-microbial anti-inflammatory and respiratory oil.

Major Constituents:
1,8 cineole, alpha-pinene, beta-pinene, linalool, limonene, terpinene-4-ol, para-cymene, and alpha-terpineol.
