Due to its composition of the lactone nepetalactone, Catnip essential oil is regarded for its potential as a mosquito repellent. Nepetalactone which gives the catnip oil its characteristic odor is a major constituent (about 84%) of catnip oil. Nepetalactone has repellant effects on some insects like cockroaches and mosquitoes.

Application:
~ Since Catnip oil is Anti-Microbial, Antiseptic, and Anti-Spasmodic, it cures all these problems.
~ Due to the presence of the nepetalactone, Catnip essential oil can be used to develop effective mosquito and insect repellent.
