Description:
Buddha Wood is a desert-loving plant, Native to Australia. It is also known as False Sandalwood. It is an evergreen and resinous shrub growing in western slopes and Queensland in Australia. Budha wood plant grows wild in the drier parts of Australia, Eastern Queensland, and South Wales.

Buddha Wood oil can be extracted by steam distillation of heartwood and bark of the tree, which yield viscous essential oil.

The Buddha Wood essential oil is sweet, balsamic remind us Sandalwood, Cedarwood, and Guiacawood complex note with a mossy, leathery, creamy undertone of good tenacity. The oil has a close chemical relationship to Agarwood oil but the fragrance note is not similar. The oil’s main components are three closely related sesquiterpene ketones eremophilone; 2-hydroxyeremophilone; 2-hydroxy-2-dihydroeremophilone. Buddha Wood oil contains similar constituents to Agarwood oil but their note is not similar.

Application:
~ Buddawood oil is analgesic and anti-inflammatory can be utilized to relieve muscular pains.
~ This oil also has anti-bacterial properties and can be utilized to treat sores and cuts.

Aromatherapy:
Buddha Wood Oil can be used as a fragrance in skincare formulations, in other industrial fragrances and in aromatherapy oil. Buddha Wood is commonly used for meditation, as the oil is calming. Buddha Wood Essential Oil is used regularly in aromatherapy for its excellent immune system stimulator.
