Description:
The genus Hedychium consists of about 50 species distributed in tropical Asia and Madagaskar. Hedychium spicatum is generally found in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Native to China, Himalayas, Myanmar, Thailand, and Ethiopia.
Kapoor Kachri oil is obtained by the process of steam distillation of roots (rhizomes). Essential oil yield from 0.6 to 4.6%. Major chemical constituents present in Kapoor Katcheri essential oil are limonene, cineole, terpinene, linalool, p-cymene, terpeneol, and phellandrene.

Application:
